Description

NC Adapted Sports Adapted Off-Road Cycling Clinics are structure to help you learn how to optimize your ability to enjoy riding handcycles or recumbent trikes.  

Participants will go through the Bicycle Instructor Certification Program Adapted MTB course. 

The skills learned in this course will help you improve your riding experience whether tackling greenways, gravel, or dirt trails.

All skill levels are welcomed, as we are building the foundation for your skill development.  

Clinics will be held in the field space and beginner trail at Harris Lake County Park for beginner cyclists.  As you progress in skill and through the NCAS Adapted Off-Road Cycling Levels, skill development will move into the Crabtree Trail System and other locations.  

Students may use their own cycle or learn on NC Adapted Sports Cycles:

  • Bowhead Rogue Handcycle - E-assist
  • Terratrike Rambler AT Recumbent Trike - E-assist
  • Sunseeker EcoTad Recumbent Trike - No E-assist
  • Sport On TroubleMaker Youth Handcycle (ages 8/size dependent to 14)
  • The Rig - all electric quadcycle
