NCAS & Taylor Family YMCA Adapted Swim Lesson Day

May the 4th Be With You Adapted Swim Lesson Day

Come join NCAS and the Taylor Family YMCA for an adapted swim lesson information and assessment session.  NCAS is collaborating with the Taylor Family YMCA to provide the opportunity to take swim lessons at the Taylor Family YMCA.   Anna Maria, Director of Aquatic Programs, will have a question-answer session for parents while your child is being assessed by the swim instructors.

Goals of the Day Are:

1. Assess your child's needs and whether they would benefit from private lessons and then transition into group lessons
2. Share information about the swim lesson program at Taylor and Finley YMCA, which are both offering lessons to children with a physical disability: e.g. membership, swim lesson fees, etc.

We understand that every child learns differently. Our goal is to create a personalized lesson plan that sets them up for success, while also working towards eventual inclusion in group lessons. For children new to swimming, private lessons can be a fantastic starting point. This one-on-one instruction allows them to build confidence and essential skills at their own pace, ultimately preparing them to thrive in a group setting.
